The Department of Arabic and Middle Eastern Languages consists of 16 dedicated academic staffs. Our teaching staff comprises of local and international academic staff who are highly qualified. Apart from teaching department courses, they are also involved in teaching and supervision at the Master’s and PhD levels. Academic members within the department are involved in various funded research projects and publish their work at recognised national and international journals.
Graduates of our programme can find career opportunities in teaching, journalism, publishing, editing, writing, diplomacy and foreign affairs, translation and interpretation and various possibilities in the public and private sectors.
