English Carnival has been greatly supported by our industrial partnership, Group Dotcom. GO
International Group Dotcom is an organization that creates, curates and distributes content
through digital media channels. They have wide collaborations with government, civil society
organizations, industries, and educational institutions. The role of this organization is for
sponsorship and promotion.
A lot of industrial partners such as First Ray, Khazanah Nasional, GRADUAN Aspire, TERAS
Teknologi, MoOne Academy, Ebright Public Speaking as well as Honey Ahmad and Cuurley were
involved and led the session/activities in English Carnival. Through this, companies and
organizations can showcase and promote job opportunities and interact with students about the
services and products offered. In this case, students will have the opportunity to expand social
connections and gain exposure to career paths as well as show the talent/potential that students
have.
The invitation of the English Carnival also extended to a lot of Embassies in Malaysia such as the
Australian Embassy, Canadian Embassy, Embassy of India, the Irish Embassy, the New Zealand
Embassy, the United Kingdom Embassy, the United States Embassy, the Embassy of South Africa,
the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore and Embassy of the Bahamas.
Hanabi Taikai was organised on 18 Jun 2023 from 9.00 am until 9.00 pm at Kompleks Perdana
Siswa. The event ended with a beautiful firework performance at the parking space at 9.00 pm
which was the highlight of the event.
In addition, exhibitions related to student exchange programs are also part of the event. The
visitors will be able to receive the impact positive from this program such as learning Japanese
culture from an aspect of traditional games, popular culture, food, clothing and more. The
representative of the Embassy of Japan in Malaysia and Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur attended
the opening ceremony in the morning. This event is also able to strengthen and improve good
relations between the Universiti Malaya and related agencies of Japan, both the government and
private and able to be an added value for any future cooperation that will be held later between
the two parties.
This event was also posted on Buletin TV9 on 18 June 2023 (https://youtu.be/zqAuhcjlrns).
